Dear Affiliates and Members, The Agricultural Research Council, Plant Health and Protection, has secured funding to reinvigorate work on the biological control of Satansbos. The Centre for Biological Control at Rhodes University (AgriSA Corporate Chamber member) has had several requests for the biological control agent. The purpose of the survey is to find localities of Satansbos and to gauge land managers’ willingness to make use of the biological control. Currently, the biological control agent is supplied free of charge to land managers who only have to pay for the costs of a courier service. Due to cuts in funds from the National Government, the biological control community may not be able to provide this and other biological control agents for free in the future. Please complete the Centre for Biological Controls’ survey (11 questions) concerning Satansbos here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/satansbos_survey |
