| We would like to inform you that the National Treasury has extended the submission deadline for proposals to be considered by the Budget Facility for Infrastructure (BFI). This extension aims to provide project sponsors with additional time to prepare and submit their proposals. The BFI isa reform initiative established to support the implementation of priority infrastructure projects and programs through a more rigorous planning, appraisal, and selection process. AgriSA sees this as a valuable opportunity for the farming community to participate, especially in projects focused on rehabilitating and maintaining rural roads. We encourage our provincial affiliates to engage local farmer associations that have ready projects requiring funding to submit proposals to the National Treasury by 17 May 2024. Detailed submission requirements are outlined in the attached document. Please ensure that all submissions are in electronic format and directed to the BFI Secretariat at infrastructure@treasury.gov.za Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to potential collaboration and contributions from our agricultural community. |
